Had to take my yorky in again because of seizures and Dr. Rick and staff met my wife at the door and took care of Bradley. They kept him all day and observed him. Today he is doing just great and also slept great last night. Another checkup in two weeks. We are so happy with the Park Avenue Vet office. A Godsend.

When I first met Dr Turgai at a dog park event I knew we were going to like the service and the people involved with the Park Avenue Vets. I have 5 dogs, 3 Berger Picards (Winn Dixie dogs) and 2 Yorkies. I have taken all my dogs in for a checkup and everything. We have dealt with every vet in the Apopka area and we have found the best. Just this morning my oldest Yorky had a seizure and I took him in without an appointment and they saw him within 30 minutes. They are one class act vet office. The vet techs, receptionists and all are great. They always treat your pet like they are special (they are). Thanks Guys for opening a wonderful place to take our pets when they need the best.

My mouse was having short breaths and sometimes rapid breathing. His nose was bleedy an I started to worry. So I looked at the reviews on here which revealed to be positive. The staff was wonderful with greetings once you walk through the door! They really take the time to care for your pet's health. Finally, at the end they gave me an antibiotic to treat what Milo had, bacteria. So, once he was given a single dosage, I came home and he was energetic all the way! I could tell he was relieved for finally being able to breathe the easy route. The antibiotic is supposed to be taken once a day, which I follow through but, like I said, one dosage, which started today, and he was healed in a jiffy! I recommend this vet. They are the reliable ones. What comes out of it also, is affordable to your pocket. So if you have health problems with any animal, including a mouse myself, they will solve the problem right then and there! (:

Just moved to the area and (much like the other reviewer) woke up to find that my new puppy was having an allergic reaction to something. We called and got an immediate appointment time for 8:15 (they open at 7:30 but no doctors until 8) . We were there early for paperwork, and treated very nicely. They have the friendliest staff of any vet that I have ever been to, especially to my dog. The nurse held him and made sure that he was comfortable while they weighed him and whatnot. We figured out what he was allergic to right away! They prescribed the meds there and we picked them up on the way out with absolutely no hassle. They gave us a bag of treats for him on the way out too! It was $45 for the appointment and then another $40 for the medicine. You can print off a 10% coupon for your first visit on their website. All-in-all I have a wonderful experience and so did my puppy! He enjoyed every bit of it, even though he was feeling quite under the weather. I'd suggest this vet to anyone in the area.

We have used this vet for while. Although our dogs very rarely have issues (another good thing!) the vet is extremely gentle and caring to our animals, the office is very clean and the staff is professional. I have used other vets and have recently moved from Apopka about 30 min away, but will still drive to use this vet because they are leaps and bounds above any other vet I have been to. On another note - I needed the vet records for a stay at a hotel with my dog. My old vet charged me .50$ per page to fax (obviously because they do not know how to use a computer??). When I needed the records next time, PAAH just emailed me over the file in a matter of minutes.

I am not one to go around just giving reviews and recommendations because I have to be really swept off my feet with customer service to give recommendations, and today I was! I need to honestly say that I have had animals all of my life and have been in close affiliation with several local Vets and animal hospitals. I have never experienced superb customer service like I did today at Park Avenue Animal Hospital in Apopka. PAAH is the very best Vet in all of Orlando. Dr. Rubinstein is absolutely amazing! He immediately diagnosed a life threatening illness and treated my dog. My husband and I came in totally distraught thinking our best friend, Cody, was going to die. For days our dog laid motionless unable to walk or move. We found him in a pool of blood and carried him to the car certain that death was imminent. Within an hour of being at PAAH, my dog walked out to the car, and 10 hours later our dog is 110% better. Dr. R. & the staff were so kind, nice, compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable, and they are so reasonable compared to a couple other Vets in the Apopka area. The waiting room was immaculate. The clinic smelled of beautiful holiday scents. It was a very comforting environment, even for pets. When my dog that has been very ill entered he suddenly got better. Seriously! It is no wonder they were voted number 1 in Apopka. If you are looking for a Vet in Apopka feel free to contact me. I have used several Vets, and can tell you from experience of being close to the Vets in Apopka that Park Avenue Animal Hospital is truly the best around. Thank you PAAH for giving us back our Cody. I will be spreading the word to everyone I know.

Only ever used this vet for boarding, but my dog and I loved it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I even recommended the place to my sister for her dog when she's in town and got a $10 off coupon. Great place!

When I saw the invitation on FaceBook to send in a testimonial to Park Avenue Animal Hospital, I was moved to tears by some of the comments. Then I saw that back in March, 2009, I wrote to say thank you. At that time, I wrote: "How to say thank you for all you do. In almost 4 years of rescue, Dr. Rick and Dr. John are the first vets who agreed to meet with our foster volunteers and teach them the principles of good foster care for the kittens and cats that come into our care. How often do I call late in the day with a situation that is responded to with "come on in" - even when it is at the end of the day. Your staff is professional, caring and we are so grateful for all you do to help us help those discarded by irresponsible people. Your office is so clean, your equipment on the cutting edge and your staff is dedicated. It's nice to see people who truly love their jobs - unlike other offices where you can see the employees are not there because they like the boss but because it's a pay check. On behalf of Candy's Cats, thank you so much. We are so grateful." I really can't add too much more except that: 1. Memorial Weekend 2010, 11 p.m. on Saturday night. Dr. Rick met me on an emergency when one of our kitties had an allergic reaction. 2. Father's Day, 2010, another emergency met by Dr. Rick. 3. Superbowl Sunday, 2011, Dr. John showing up to meet another emergency. You name the emergency, it is met by Dr. Rick and Dr. John. Since being part of the clinic, we have yet to use the ER vets. More: Your cat or dog is sick? They take you in, give you sound advice, send you home and then call you that night and again a few days later to see if you have any questions, concerns and to make suggestions. Staff? From the minute you walk in the door - Amber, Jessica, Barbara, Meg - all are so warm and wonderful, the vet techs and everyone is just superb! And the most amazing thing? We're a rescue group - they treat our rescue fosters like they're your personal pets - there is no difference in how they treat them. Most vets that help rescue groups treat our volunteers like they are second class citizens, if a "real, paying" client comes in, the rescue gets pushed to the back of the line (even though our rescue spends easily $50,000 a year in vet bills) To be treated with the respect that we are given from everyone at Park Avenue - it's absolutely God-inspired. Love all of you and that is why my 7 personal cats and mom's dog are clients of yours as well!

Our Opal had a stroke - young cat - and met Dr. T. First, he is so gentle, caring, and concerned. He even, on his day off, twice, called us (believe it - my own doctor won't do that) to see how Opal was doing. Dr. Rubinstein's had a gentle way with her and us, never running out of patience with our questions and calling us back after hours, never in a hurry, explaining meds, and so genuinely concerned as if Opal were his own. Even the staff - Barbara, Jessica and all the rest of the staff - met us at the door with a smile and welcome. One can feel the sense of love and caring and safety upon entering the door. Our Opal is walking, using her box, and back to her own little self. Miracles do happen with God and Park Avenue Animal Hospital and so many angles God put in our lives. Now we have another fur-baby, Polka Dot, who's hip came out of its socket. Dr. Rubinstein first tried to slip it back in under sedation. It did not work and Dr. Rubinstein will be operating on our little Polka Dot tomorrow. He could not be in better hands. Dr. Rubinstein took his time explaining the x-ray and the procedure. He sent Polka Dot home to wait on the surgery and gave him something to ease his pain. He is comfortable and trusting, waiting for Dr. Rubinstein to make him all better. When one enters the doors of Park Ave. Animal Hospital, they are treated as kings and queens, no matter what their financial situation is. The animals come first. Words don't cut it to say just how very, very grateful we are to be blessed with such a team as Dr. Rick Rubinstein and Dr. John and staff. God richly bless you as you bless us all. One never stands so tall as when one reaches down to help those so small. Truly, you are very "big" men.

We have been in Florida for the past 2 years and have yet to find a vet and facility we were happy with until today! We have a newly adopted 2nd greyhound, and based on a recommendation from Gold Coast Greyhounds, we have finally found what we were looking for. From the first contact with Amber on the phone to meeting the staff, including Dr. Rick, we had a wonderful first visit and will be back for many more. Everyone was kind and very generous with their time as well. I will gladly travel the 45 min. from my home for the exceptional care & service they provide.

Thank you, Dr. Rick! I just bought a yorkie and had her shipped in from out of state and, upon arrival, she was vomiting, I called this hospital to see if they could work Kakayla in to their busy schedule. The receptionist was so very kind and gave us an appointment to come in within the hour. When I arrived, the vet tech was so gentle and kind I was so very impressed! I will take all my furry kids in to see Dr. Rick! I have already referred two people just today! Thanks for being so very kind and for assuring me Makayla Faith is going to be just fine!
