Our Practice
Since 2008, we here at Park Avenue Animal Hospital have been providing quality veterinary care for Apopka’s dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, birds, reptiles, and more! It is the mission of our doctors and staff to treat you as one of the PAAH Family and to make sure that your pets get the very best medical attention.
Our doctors have over 40 years of combined experience in veterinary medicine. They provide cutting-edge medicine with the bedside manner of a small-town physician. Dr. Rick Rubinstein, Dr. John Turgai, Dr. Gina Hinton, and Dr. Brianne Nelson have the expertise to treat a diverse array of pets using a variety of up-to-date techniques. Whether it’s an annual checkup or a critical emergency, our doctors are prepared to handle any situation.
In most cases, the earlier a disease is discovered and diagnosed, the easier and more effective treatment will be. With that in mind, our in-house lab handles a wide variety of diagnostic tests, allowing our doctors to monitor changes in all of your pet’s biological systems during and after treatment. If your pet requires surgical intervention for injury or disease, we have the experience and confidence to tackle any situation. Spaying and neutering, growth removal, dental cleaning and extractions, and orthopedic repair are just a few of the surgical services we offer in our office.
One of the newest treatments that we provide is K-Laser Class IV Therapeutic Laser treatment for advanced pain relief and enhanced tissue repair. Multiple studies have shown that laser therapy can help relieve pain, reduce swelling and inflammation, increase range of motion and ease the healing process for many types of acute and chronic injuries and ailments. The process is safe and easy and has worked wonders for many of our pets.
Park Avenue Animal Hospital also offers boarding to our clients. We keep our boarding area limited so that it can be climate-controlled and allow for more individualized care and attention with each of our guests. Our variously-sized enclosures allow for a comfortable space for all types and sizes of dogs and our separate cat boarding area provides our feline friends with kitty condos to lounge the day away in their own stress-free space. Baths can also be provided if your pet is in need of a good scrubbing or some extra pampering during their stay. We even have grooming services available to ensure that your pet is looking its absolute best when it’s time to go home.
Feel free to stop by our hospital to meet our staff and take a tour of our facilities. Let us share our home with you and make you a part of our PAAH Family!
