Boarding

Your pet's home away from home.

Here at Park Avenue Animal Hospital, we have the facilities to keep your pets safe and cared for while you are away. We keep our boarding area limited, which allows our technicians to give each of our guests extra care and attention and keep them all in a comfortable, climate-controlled space. We have enclosures of various sizes, offering space for the smallest Chihuahua and the largest Great Dane and our beautiful fenced-in backyard allows our dogs to get fresh air and exercise in a safe and secure area. And we haven’t forgotten our feline friends! Our cat guests get their own space, separate from the noisy dogs. Their expandable kitty condos offer a stress-free environment with a view of the yard.

We feed Purina Veterinary Diets E/N to our dogs and Hill’s Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin to our cats. These are very palatable foods and good for pets of all ages and dietary requirements. If your animal has a specific diet, we are happy to accommodate their need. We provide bedding and bowls for each of our guests and baths can be requested for an extra fee if you would like your pet to be extra clean and pampered when they come home. We love our boarders at Park Avenue and we treat each and every one of them as part of our family!

Our Boarding Requirements

Our boarding requirements are as follows:

  • Dogs must be current on their distemper, rabies, Bordetella, and parvovirus vaccines
  • Cats must be current on their distemper (FVRCP) and rabies vaccines
  • All boarders must provide proof that they are free from parasites – internal or external

If no vaccination history is provided, or a pet is not current on their vaccines at the time of drop off for boarding, or if a pet tests positive for intestinal parasites, a doctor will evaluate the pet and vaccinate or treat as needed, at the owner’s expense.
